Sir Peter Hall School

Headteacher’s Welcome

Hello and a warm welcome to Sir Peter Hall School, a specialist provision for students with social, emotional and mental health needs, situated in the heart of Bury St Edmunds.

At Sir Peter Hall, we strive to create a happy, caring and welcoming environment for all our pupils, parents, staff and visitors. We believe that the strength of the school lies in the positive relationships between staff, children and their families.

We follow a Trauma Perceptive Practice (TPP) approach to teaching and learning. Our curriculum is based on the five pillars of wellbeing – Social, Physical, Intellectual, Spiritual and Emotional, Environmental (Community).

A dedicated and highly trained staff team provide support for a broad continuum of needs. Children are treated as individuals, with their needs taken into account in preparing them to become successful learners, confident individuals and responsible citizens.

Our flexible and supportive approach provides an education adapted to individual students needs to equip them with the requisite knowledge and skills necessary to meet life’s increasingly difficult challenges.

The success of this school is down to the people who are in it and who support it – extraordinary people doing extraordinarily good things.
